AOL launching blog search this week

The Blog Herald reports that like Google and Yahoo, AOL is adding a blog search engine. Intelliseek’s BlogPulse will be providing the AOL blog search tool.
Not sure how many folks still use AOL, but the blog search and AOL’s recent acquisition of Weblogs, Inc. shows they understand the importance of blogs. AOL was a thriving community based portal when I found the net in 1996. Blogs would have been a perfect fit for AOL before they ran off those communities and a lot of their subscribers.
