Video podcasts on the way via Apple’s new iPod
October 13, 2005
Apple’s unveiling it’s new iPod that plays video was all the rage today. Take note in the first sentence of Apple’s press release was the iPod’s ability to play video podcasts.
Apple today introduced the new iPod®, featuring a gorgeous 2.5-inch color screen which can display album artwork and photos, and play stunning video including music videos, video Podcasts, home movies and television shows.
Lawyers and other professionals will be able to inexpensively play and produce video’s targeted to a niche audience. Sure, Apple’s iPod is just a player, but getting the public used to watching video like this will surely advance the cause of video podcasts.
I have always felt podcasts were the precursor to video podcasts. This announcement is proof.
