Power of blogs for rumor squashing & PR

Law firms are missing the boat when it comes to the power of blogs for both creating PR nightmares and nipping PR problems in the bud by using blogs.

Liana Evans has a nice post on how CEO blogger Alan Meckler is using his blog to counter some rumors that are flying around about his company, Jupitermedia and how blogs exposed huge security issues for The Brooklyn Museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Museum of Modern Art and the Museum of Natural History.

From Liana, here’s a basic lesson for law firms – not only should your company have a blog, but someone should be watching your industry and main stream media blogs …. you don’t want to be caught sleeping!
