2005 Bloggies : best in blogging awards

Awards for the best blogs were announced this week based on public voting at the official Bloggies site. I did not receive any hardware.

Web log of the year went to Boing Boing, a tech-savvy jointly written site about ‘wonderful things.’ Heather B. Armstrong’s Dooce, a ‘not-so-super mom’ was named Best American Blog.

Bloggie winners are probably not the best example of professional marketing blogs for law firms. Armstrong, for one, lost her Web-designer job in 2002 for her often sexually explicit blog. But many of the winners are candid, entertaining and irreverent – something we could use a little of in the legal profession.
