Lawyer Internet marketing > cost per customer acquisition
January 13, 2004
Interesting information from Rapport Online, an Internet marketing company, ranking the cost effectiveness of various methods of Internet marketing.
This chart shows the relative cost per customer acquisition using some of the most popular tactics for Web site promotion.
What is most interesting in their report is what I always believed, that being that word of mouth is king.
Just as in the ‘real world,’ the least costly customer is the one who was referred by a satisfied customer. The first tactic we place in any online marketing plan is to make it as easy as possible for your customers to refer others to your site. When the referral is so easy that your customer does not even realize they have made the referral, it is called ‘viral.’
