NYC Legal Conference Next Week: Using Social Media for Professional and Client Development
Next Wednesday, May 4th I will be working with the Practising Law Institute in New York to chair an all-day seminar entirely devoted to educating lawyers on how they can utilize social media to enhance their professional lives.
Social media, and its use in client development, is beyond its infancy. Best practices have been established and its use as a valuable relationship-building tool has been proven. Gathering the experiences and viewpoints of a wide range of talented individuals, we look to examine and discuss those best practices and how they can enhance your legal practice.
The event, which offers a rare opportunity to attorneys and other professionals in the legal industry, can be viewed both in-person at PLI headquarters in New York City or via live webcast—registration for both is available here.
For those of you in New York, I’d welcome the opportunity to meet you and we look forward to seeing you there. For those who can’t make the live event, the Practising Law Insitute has put together an excellent platform for broadcasting these events worldwide.
Bringing together a who’s-who of legal blogging and social media strategy, the day-long event features six sessions touching on various aspects of social media’s impact on the legal world:
- Cultivating Thought Leadership In the Digital Age
- Effective Blogging Techniques
- Social Media Monitoring and Engagement
- Twitter, Facebook, & LinkedIn: Social Media Tools Offering the Greatest Value for Lawyers
- Social Media’s Impact on the Advancement of Law & Publishing
- Developing a Social Media Plan for Your Law Firm
