Still think social media is a fad? Watch this video

Picked this video up from Linda Skrocki, Sr. Social Media Engineering Program Manager at Sun Microsystems. It’s powerful, powerful stuff. Expect to see it run as the opening few minutes in upcoming presentations of mine.

Linda’s a social networking/media evangelist who runs from top to bottom Sun’s widely respected online community efforts. I just added her blog to my feeds this morning.

    This is one of the best books written recently about how social media transforms the way we do business that includes some interesting notions on how we perform and interact as society as a whole and how it translates to online world.     The great thing about the book is that it offers a great mix of really inspirational ideas and philosophy, as well as practical suggestions and real life stories of different businesses that incorporated social media, offering ways to learn from them (the good and the bad). All written in a very light manner, with great examples, an easy and enjoyable read. Highly recommend it.

    Great minds think alike, Kevin;) I included this video in the presentation on lawyers and social media that Lisa Solomon and I gave in NYC last week and will be giving at the ABA Solo and Small Firm Conference in LA on Thursday.
    I totally agree with you–it does a great job of showing how quickly social media is changing the world–and how quickly the phenomenon of social media is itself changing…
