The Illinois Supreme Court and Global Supply Chain Law: New Blogs Joining the LexBlog Network

January 23, 2015

As we get all set to head out into the weekend, let’s look back at the blogs joining the LexBlog Network this week. We have two, and both are from Am Law 200 firms—which, naturally, isn’t unusual around these parts. Also, first up, we have a publication that the author is calling “a different kind of blog”—and I think he’s spot-on.

  • First off, we have a blog I’m personally really excited about in The Illinois Supreme Court Review from Kirk Jenkins and the team at Sedgwick LLP. What’s interesting about this one is that it’s not just a blog on the Prairie State’s highest court, but it intends to really dive into the analytics of decision-making. Jenkins says the blog will take “a longer-term view, seeking new insights into the Court’s decision making in civil litigation based upon the entire span of what one might call the Court’s recent history, from 2000 to today.” It’s going to be fascinating.
  • Next up, from another Am Law 200 firm that continues to grow out its network of blogs, as the debut of the Global Supply Chain Law Blog makes it thirteen publications on the LexBlog Network for Squire Patton Boggs. In their own words, they plan to “discuss current cases, important nuances in the law that can affect supply chain relationships, and ways to make supply chain legal practices more robust, particularly in light of today’s global supply chains.” And what’s interesting about a blog like this is that it’s bound to cut across various industries, so that’s worth watching as well.
