EnviroStructure, SALT, Municipal, and Education Law: New Blogs Joining the LexBlog Network
October 3, 2014
It’s time to close down the week, and the first few days of October (wait what), with a look back at the blogs joining the LexBlog Network this week. And in the bunch, we have some subjects that really aren’t covered nearly as much as they should—and with four in total, that’s pretty strong.
- First up, we have the first publication from Beveridge & Diamond covering a very interesting legal intersection. They call the blog EnviroStructure because it covers the place “where environmental law and infrasctrure meet.” They plan to offer commentary on best practices and innovations in project planning and development and on important policy debates—and profile people and companies who are doing this well.
- Next, we have the cleverly-titled Cooking with SALT—which offers up the very best in high-sodium recipes “key ingredients” impacting state and local taxes. And while I crack a joke about the title, the blog, from Jones Walker, actually will occasionally discuss food as well. With them based in New Orleans, home to some fantastic food, it’s worth keeping an eye on even if you aren’t looking to read up on taxation.
- We don’t see many (any?) blogs covering this subject, and I wish we would, because it’s important—that’d be municipal law, and it’s being covered now by Cota Cole‘s California’ Municipal Law Blog. Drawing on a deep team of municipal lawyers and experienced litigators, the blog will provide insight about new legislation, recent court cases, and other matters affecting cities, counties and special districts.
- The world of higher education is evolving more quickly than we’ve ever seen before. Many people, including the government, are taking notice. To stay apprised of the latest developments, and the legal implications, you can follow Husch Blackwell‘s Higher Education Legal Insights. And their network keeps growing as this is their ninth blog on the LexBlog Network.
