Social Media, Energy Finance, Derivatives: New Blogs Joining the LexBlog Network

August 22, 2014

Another summer week has come to a close, so it’s time to head out into the sun—but before doing so, we look back on the new publications joining us. We have three new blogs on the LexBlog Network this week, all from some pretty impressive firms.

  • Norton Rose Fulbright continues to grow is fleet of blogs at a rapid rate as the debut of their Social Media Law Bulletin makes a whopping seven new publications on the LexBlog Network—all of them in 2014. Social media law is a subject I see discussed a lot, but there aren’t enough blogs discussing it, especially not enough from premier law firms, so this is great to see.
  • Getting very niche-oriented, we have the launch this week of the Energy Finance Report from the team at Sullivan & Worcester. S&W’s blogs always do a great job writing on things in a very approachable manner, and this looks like it does the same as the team of authors there writes on subjects varying from carbon emissions to energy policy to how all of this stuff gets funded.
  • Also covering a very narrow and finance-related subject, we have the Derivatives and Repo Report from Perkins Coie. As this subject is pretty technical, I’ll let them take it from here: “Our goal is to provide meaningful and timely information to buy-side market participants, including: mutual funds, hedge funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and their investment advisers; corporate end users; nonswap dealer banks; and other end users of derivatives and repurchase agreements.”
