Labor Law in Spanish, Working at Wiley Rein, Franchising and Risk Management: New Blogs Joining the LexBlog Network

July 3, 2014

The long holiday weekend is nearly upon us and LexBlog is—like everyone else—closing up shop just a little early. Before we head out, let’s take a quick look at the new blogs joining us on the LexBlog Network.

  • For the second time in two weeks, Stearns Weaver Miller is launching a new employment law blog on blog on the LexBlog Network. This one, Café con Labor, is in Spanish—as the attorneys offer up the perfect complement to their existing blog, BeLabor the Point. This blog brings the same colorful and easy-to-understand insight we’ve seen from their first publication.
  • Nats games, bocce ball and pancake breakfasts—that’s apparently what it’s like working at Wiley Rein. We kid, of course, but in reading Working@Wiley, the firm certainly sounds alright to me. The blog, the firm’s fourth with us on the LexBlog Network, recruiting news, summer program experiences, diversity and inclusion initiatives, pro bono commitments, and more.
  • Offering up insight on avoiding and addressing corporate crises, Risk Management & Crisis Response is the latest blog from top Canadian firm Osler—which now has six blogs with us on the LexBlog Network. Of course, “crises” is a broad term, as they can happen in almost any industry—but Osler has specialists who will over insight accordingly, from privacy and data security to white collar crime to anti-money laundering.
  • And, for the second time in two weeks, we’re happy to announce a blog from a firm right here in our fair Seattle—that’s the Zorblog from Graham & Dunn. As the title is awesome, but doesn’t give away its subject, this blog is intended as a legal resource for franchisors. You can look for primers on topics to help franchisors and prospective franchisors navigate some of the challenges unique to the franchise industry—this includes insurance issues, relevant regulation and key changes in policy.
