Estates, Consumer Finance, Energy, Privaty Equity, White Collar Crime: New Blogs Joining the LexBlog Network
March 21, 2014
It’s always fun when a law firm goes on a bit of a hot streak with regards to launching blogs, and maybe rolls out three or so over the span of a few months. But what’s even more fun is when a firm rolls out multiple publications in a single week—and that’s what we have this week from Gardere. Oh, and we have three more law firms adding to their blog networks as well. Quite the week.
- First up, from the best coast, we have West Coast Trusts and Estates Litigation from Garvey Schubert Barer. I like what they’re doing with their publications, as they have one knowledgeable lawyer as an editor—with Bill Keeler taking the reins on this one. Keeler brings three and a half decades of experience to bear in writing on developments relevant to estates, trusts and conservatorships throughout Oregon, California and neighboring states.
- Consumer finance continues to be a massive growth area with regards to law firm publishing, and Troutman Sanders continues to add to it with a sharp-looking and broad-reaching publication in the Consumer Financial Services Law Monitor. In their own words, the blog “offers timely updates regarding the financial services industry to inform you of recent changes in the law, upcoming regulatory deadlines and significant judicial opinions that may impact your business.”
- These new Gardere publications sure are nice-looking, and the first one to launch this week was Texas Energy Law. I’m not sure there’s a more hot-button issue in the country than energy law, and there’s no place where it’s a bigger topic than Texas. Though, of course, Gardere is a national firm and this blog will also shed light on the energy industry as a whole.
- The second of these two new clean Gardere blogs is the Private Equity Hub. Gardere currently represents a wide variety of private equity firms and this blog aims to keep them, and potential future clients, apprised of the latest legal developments related to investments, stockholder issues and various transactions.
- And, the fifth of our five blogs to launch this week is the White Collar Briefly from Perkins Coie. White collar crime, unfortunately, is a growing legal area—especially in an area of growing government enforcement. This blog will keep readers apprised of the latest developments with state and federal laws while also drawing from breaking news and ever-changing government priorities.
