Securities, Financial Services, Health Care, Taxes, Injury and IP: New Blogs Joining the LexBlog Network
February 21, 2014
In case you couldn’t already tell from the long title, it was a big week for launches on the LexBlog Network—with a whopping seven new publications joining our ranks this week. It isn’t the case very week, but over the past few days we’ve had new blogs from firms both large and small. Have a look.
- Batting lead-off in this post, we have the Securities Litigation & Compliance Matters as Mintz Levin continues to broaden the reach if their own blog network, which with this launch, grows to nine publications. This latest blog shares developments affecting corporations, financial services organizations and their directors, officers, partners and principals.
- Right in that same vein, we have the first of two Norton Rose Fulbright launches in the form of Financial services: Regulation tomorrow. With subjects ranging from asset management and banking regulation to clearing and settlement, money laundering, retail, wholesale conduct and securities regulation, the blog ensures that you keep track of the latest developments.
- And the second of the two Norton Rose Fulbright launches comes in the form of Les Actifs créatifs, a French language blog discussing intellectual property. Though, the subject of the blog isn’t intellectual property in France, but instead Canada, as it will discuss topics that include patents, trademarks, industrial design, licenses social media and more.
- Foley & Lardner has been especially adept, with multiple of their blogs, at providing in-depth analysis of key developments and I’d expect more of the same on Health Care Law Today. With the always-evolving Affordable Care Act and growing privacy issues in the space, I’d keep an eye on this blog as a valuable resource.
- As I sent out on Twitter, it’s about taxes and not the seasoning with Margolin, Winer & Evens’s SALT Strategies. SALT, for those unfamiliar, stands for “state and local taxes. What’s different about this blog, compared to other LexBlog Network blogs, is that it isn’t from lawyers—but instead a certified public accountant in Joseph Pizzimenti.
- I’ve seen a lot of blogs, and a lot of blog posts over the years. There’s a right way to do a personal injury blog—and then there’s a very wrong way. Coeur d’Alene attorney James Bendell does it the right way with the launch of Injury in Idaho. The posts he already has online offer up real actionable advice for readers, and show how to write a personal injury blog in a tasteful manner.
- And last, but certainly not least, we have the Iowa Healthcare Law Blog from West Des Moines attorney Paul Drey of Brick Gentry. Drey brings to bear his experience as an established advisor to his healthcare clients, including medical groups, physicians and other medical/healthcare associations.
