Family, Fraud and Political Law: New Blogs Joining the LexBlog Network

January 17, 2014

With that title, you could almost wrap all three areas of law up into one juicy national scandal—but no, we have three different publications joining the LexBlog Network this week. We have two Amlaw 200 firms continuing to grow their respective networks, and what very well may be top recent newcomer (on a firm level) rolling out another new publication.

  • Segueing right in from that last comment, Obermayer continues to grow their array of excellent online publications as they launch Obermayer Family Matters, a blog devoted to divorce, custody and other family law issues. If it’s like their other publications—and to this point it looks like it will be—it’ll be an excellent mix of practical evergreen guidance on divorce and family law issues, and then easy to understand breakdowns or prominent developments.
  • They keep it on the down-low with the branding on the blog, but we’re excited to have our first firm-level blog partnership with AmLaw 100 top-5 firm Baker & McKenzie with the launch of their Canadian Fraud Law. Drawing on one of the largest fraud-law practices in Canada, you can look for their insight on topics that include cybersecurity, fraud investigations, fraud recovery, fraud prevention and more.
  • The rapid growth of the LexBlog Network’s political law just won’t stop as AmLaw 200 firm Venable LLP‘s publication on the matter, the Political Law Briefing, joins our ranks. The blog—which has been out since 2012 but comes to the LexBlog Network with a nice new responsive design—will, in their own words, “provide timely updates, insights, and commentary on campaign finance, lobbying disclosure, gift and ethics, pay-to-play, and all the other laws that impact how you interact with the government.”
