Just this past week, Washington joined the growing list of states to enact laws restricting employers from asking their employees to disclose social media passwords and other ‘personal’ account information. Many employer-side lawyers have called this a solution in search of a problem, but it seems lawmakers will always seize the rare easy opportunity to provide a solution, regardless of if it’s needed.
