New blogs joining the LexBlog Network for the week of 10/31-11/4
November 4, 2011
It’s always nice when a new AmLaw 200 firm joins the LexBlog Network, and that’s exactly what we have with the debut of Export Compliance Matters. Along with that, we have three other publications joining the LexBlog Network this week. Also, because it’s a big game, the obligatory Go Pack Go.
- Authored by Washington, DC attorney Doreen Edelman, Export Compliance Matters is the first publication o the LexBlog Network from Baker Donelson. According to Edelman, this blog isn’t for lawyers or trade professionals, it’s for “exporters and business executives that want to hear about business issues that affect their growth” and provides “practical information they can use to expand their business, increase profit and minimize risk.”
- Taking a hyper-focused approach to intellectual property law, we have the Footwear & Apparel Protection Law Monitor. Authored by Brian Lincer of Decker, Decker, Dito & Internicola—and this is their third blog on the LexBlog Network—this publication discusses topics that include distribution and sales agreements, employee/contractor issues, trademarks and dealing with US Consumer Product Safety Commission.
- “Focusing on issues and trends in corporate governance and executive compensation,” we have the Just Compensation blog from McGuireWoods. This, the sixth publication on the LexBlog Network from the firm, is authored by attorneys William Tyse and Steven Kitrell. The pair discuss topics that include board independence, clawbacks, deferred compensation and say-on-pay/say-on-frequency.
- And finally, we have Groundbreaking Law from Perkins Coie. The blog, which offers up legal commentary on the construction and design industry, is the firm’s fourth publication on the LexBlog Network. Topics discussed by the blog’s team of authors include statutory and regulatory changes, recent court opinions, sustainable and green building, BIM, insurance, and project delivery methods.
