New blogs joining the LexBlog Network for the week of 10/3-10/7
October 7, 2011
Another week comes to a close and it’s time to take a look at the publications joining the LexBlog Network over the past few days. Of the two, the first continues to add the impressive list of Canadian publications on the LexBlog Network while the second, authored by quite the expert on the its subject matter, features an image from one of the best drives in the country (a place I was lucky enough to visit this summer): the Avenue of the Giants. Have an incredible weekend, everyone. Also, of course, Go Pack.
- The wide array of publications on the LexBlog Network from strong law firms north of the border continues to grow and grow as the Canadian Tax Law Blog is the third publication from Lawson Lundell. Drawing on the expertise of a team of seven authors in the firm’s Business Taxation group, the publication follows and reports on new developments related to taxation of individuals, corporations, trusts and partnerships in Canada.
- What’s sometimes lost, or at least not fully expressed, is the remarkable calibre of some of these lawyers joining the LexBlog Network. Miller Starr Regalia attorney Arthur Coon, author of CEQA Developments, has distinguished himself over a nearly 25-year career as a top CEQA and land use law litigator at the trial and appellate levels of both federal and state courts. I’m sorry, this is poor writing on my part, but he literally “wrote the book” on CEQA as he authors the chapters on “CEQA” and “Subdivisions, Land Use Planning, and Approvals” of the Miller & Starr California Real Estate 3d treatise, which has been cited thousands of times by judges in the California Courts of Appeal and Supreme Court.
