New blogs joining the LexBlog Network for the week of 7/18-7/22
July 22, 2011
Another summer week rolls by as the LexBlog Network sees three more publications join the fray. While the rest of the country experiences a bit of a heat wave, we in Seattle have seen rain and clouds all week. However, the sun is finally here today and it’s time to go out and enjoy it. With that, I’m off, have a great weekend everyone.
- The CFPB Monitor is first blog on the LexBlog Network from AmLaw 200 firm Ballard Spahr LLP. In the words of the authors from the firm’s Consumer Financial Services Group, this publication will offer readers “news, guidance and insightful perspectives for companies affected by the policies and actions of the Consumer Finances Protection Bureau.” Going off the pieces they’ve put together already, you can expect a professional and insightful—but also personal and conversational—take on the CFPB and associated developments.
- While one firm gets started on their first, another law firm rolls out their third LexBlog Network publication—that being the professionals at Henderson Franklin with the launch of their Florida Immigration Law Blog. Authored by attorneys Tulio G. Suarez, Bruce E. Sands and Amanda L. Brock, the publication touches on topics that include I-9 compliance and E-Verify, employment-based visas and immigration scams.
- The Law & other Anomalies is authored by Duane Morris attorney Stephen Honig. This publications steps outside of what you’ll normally find from typical lawyer publications as Honig does write on the law, but also baseball, his time spent teaching in Russia and whatever else comes to mind. Honig is a business lawyer, with emphasis on corporate law, securities law and mergers and acquisitions.
