LexBlog RSS webinar a success; watch recording or download PowerPoint presentation now
Thanks to everyone who tuned in to our “RSS: The Secret Sauce of Blogging” webinar this morning…we had a great time running it, and hope that it was beneficial to the 60+ folks in attendance. This was the second webinar Stacey, Kevin and I have hosted together, and it’s always exciting to share what we work on all day with an interested audience.
Some of the issues we went over:
- How to use a RSS newsreader
- How to subscribe to particular sources
- How to subscribe to particular subjects
- How to subscribe to mentions of you, your blog, and your firm
- How to reference content discovered in RSS feeds
- How to use RSS feeds to further enhance your reputation
- How to use RSS feeds to market your blog
The event was recorded, and can be watched here; you can also download the PowerPoint if you’d prefer.
The RSS focus seems to have struck a chord with some attendees: within minutes of the webinar’s conclusion, I was already seeing e-mails in my inbox from bloggers requesting both custom OPML files related to their blog and invitations to our soon-to-be-launched project LexMonitor (we briefly demoed the site, which takes advantage of all that RSS has to offer, at the end of our presentation).
If you’ve got RSS-related questions or are interested in RSS but overwhelmed at the prospect of immersing yourself in an unfamiliar technology, shoot me an e-mail…I can provide you with some tips and maybe even create a custom OPML file loaded with feeds that could help make you a better blogger.
