Some LexBlog Network Blogs down because of widespread power outage

We are experiencing downtime on some of our LexBlog Network members’ blogs.

The reason for the downtime is a widespread power outage caused by last night’s severe storms in the Mid-Atlantic region leaving almost 2 million customers without power, including Amazon’s EC2 (Cloud) Data Center  in North Virginia, which LexBlog uses for some of our hosting.

Amazon is working rapidly to restore service to this data center, as the outage is currently having a detrimental impact on platforms such as Netflix, Instagram and Pinterest in addition to LexBlog.

LexBlog is both monitoring the situation and taking every action within our control to restore service to those blogs effected.

LexBlog will continue to post the lastest information we have on this downtime on LexBlog’s Customer Support Page.
