Google Trends, a service that lets you compare the world’s relative interest in particular topics, suggests that blogs’ popularity have surpassed that of newspapers or magazines, at least on Google.

I think this also a good indicator as to where any advertising should be spent. I've long found advertising in the newspapers (for real estate) is a waste of money. As less and less people come to the same conclusion, they simply charge more and more to make the same amount of money, but with much lower ROI.

Thats great! You can even compare the word website to the word blog on Google trends and see what happens. Google loves blogs.
