Ads on blogs : Dissed again

Regular readers know my view on running ads on lawyer blogs. It's dumb.

Brian Clark, a leader in marketing via blogs and drawing significant traffic at Copyblogger, includes not running ads in his new years resolutions.

I gave AdSense a shot around here, and I think it sucks and cheapens my blog. It makes me about $200 a month, but I think you’re easily worth more than that...

Lawyers who would never post ads on their reception wall run ads on their blogs to pick up twenty bucks a month. Nuts.

I understand about no Adsense. Can cheapen the look of the site. That being said, I'm a recovering attorney, now consultant with a new business based on an idea in law school 15 years ago... and looking to advertise to lawyers without a huge budget.

Check out www.smartanddirty.com, have a laugh, pass it along, let me know if there's any advertising opportunities on your blog in the future!
