Law blog finalists announced in the 2006 Weblog Awards

The 2006 Weblog Awards, the world’s largest blog competition, with over 1 million votes cast in the last three years, has announced the finalists. Voting begins December 7.

  • How Appealing
  • Becker-Posner
  • Blawg IT
  • Balkinization
  • Concurring Opinions
  • Consumer Law & Policy Blog
  • The Grotian Moment: Saddam Hussein Trial Blog
  • IMPACT
  • The Volokh Conspiracy
  • JURIST – Paper Chase

I’m not one to view awards as indicative of a blogs value to its readers. Many blogs not receiving awards offer tremendous value to their readers. But these blogs still merit a look based on their contribution to discourse on the law.

. . . even if they have the term “blawg” right in their URL? Just kidding.
As the author of Blawg IT, I appreciate your post. Lexblog has had a significant impact on Blawg IT. You should take more than a little satisfaction in knowing that LexBlog has had a hand in at least one of these blogs (and probably many more) making the finals. I strongly recommend LexBlog to anyone looking to make a name for themselves in the blogging community. Thanks again!
