Trainees at London law firm required to blog

September 22, 2006

Caroline Grimshaw of the UK’s Legal Reports writes that trainees at a London law firm will be required to blog.

The trainees will be sharing their week-by-week life at Watson Farley & William on The Trainee Blog so as to help the firm compete for talent with large London law firms.

Per Michael Greville, the firm’s managing partner:

Qualifying as a solicitor in a City law firm is a major undertaking.

This innovative approach will provide those considering a career in law with an accurate impression, as well as providing us with feedback to help refine and improve our training programme, ensuring that it remains among the very best in London.

Podcasts, blogs, and, I expect soon to come, video podcasts being used for law firm recruiting. Not bad.
