Trademarks, Employment, MA Environmental, Restructuring and more: New blogs joining the LexBlog Network

December 6, 2013

It’s been a busy week for launches here at LexBlog, and not just for blogs either. While we roll out five new publications, with a good mix of firms of all sizes, we’re also happy to launch a website as well—from firm whose CEO is the former Chairman of the SEC.

  • In an age with more media consumption and marketing than ever, branding and trademarks have never been more important—and that’s what Stites & Harbison‘s third publication on the network explores; it’s the aptly-titled Trademarkology. The blog will be authored primarily by two attorneys with the firm, Randy Michaels and Bill Ferrell. Their goal with the blog “is to help you select a brand name or logo by providing insight on how others have selected and protected their brands.”
  • We’re happy to have Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr jump into the LexBlog Network fray as their blog, An Employer’s Navigator joins a thriving labor and employment law community. The firm’s tagline is “We mean business.” and it certainly fits here too as the blog hits the ground running, already commenting on a prominent case involving the NLRB and class action waivers.
  • The GT Restructuring Review marks the offiical home base for Greenberg Traurig‘s Business Reorganization & Financial Restructuring Group. On this blog, you can look for members of the group to provide information and commentary on important topics and developments in the restructuring world.
  • It’s always great to have lawyers who have experience actually influencing and setting the laws blog on our network, and that’s exactly what we have with Bernkopf Goodman‘s Peg Stolfa and their blog, MassLaw Environmental. Stolfa previously spent 10 years as General Counsel at the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection and now represents clients before state, local and federal agencies on a wide variety of matters. Topics covered by Stolfa so far include climate change, recycling and storm water.
  • After seeing what the firm has done with the HR Legalist, I’m excited to see what Obermayer does with their second LexBlog Network publication, Health Law Gurus. In their own words, the “gurus” will cover “cover emerging and new developments in health law, health care reform, privacy issues including HIPAA and HITECH, and technology, regulatory, and compliance matters.”
  • Also, as alluded to in the introduction, we have more than blogs to launch this week as we roll out the website for Kalorama Partners, which provides a number of services, including corporate governance, crisis management and compliance and regulatory risk management. Their CEO, Harvey Pitt, is the former Chairman of the SEC.
