Free Intro to Law Blogs webinar tomorrow (Thursday)

Just a reminder that I'm doing a free one hour webinar (at your computer) tomorrow, May 29 at 12 ET / 9 PT for members of the Legal Blogging Group at LinkedIn.

Over 50 folks are already registered with a lot of positive feedback. Guess it goes without saying that law firms' interest in blogging and figuring out how to go about it is an all time high.

We'll cover, among other things:

What are professional marketing blogs?

Advantages of blogs for law firms

Challenges of blogs

Alternatives for setting up and running a blog

How much time it takes

Legal liability and ethics issues

Getting firm management buy in for blogs

Which law firms are using marketing blogs

Your questions

Please click here to register.

If you can't make it, we'll record the webinar and make it freely available with accompanying screenshots and online demos.

I realize some of you may already be publishing your own blog, in which case the webinar may be too basic. You decide. Those still new to blogs should find the program helpful.

If you want to join the Legal Blogging Group at LinkedIn, click here. I'll receive and approve your request.

Free Webinar Friday : Intro to law blogs : Me Presenting

I'm doing a free one hour Webinar (at your computer) this Friday, April 11 at 2 ET/11 PT.

We'll cover, among other things:

What are professional marketing blogs?

Advantages of blogs for law firms.

Challenges of blogs.

Alternatives for setting up and running a blog.

How much time it takes?

Legal liability and ethics issues.

Getting firm management buy in for blogs.

Which law firms are using marketing blogs.

Your questions.

Not to worry if you can't make it. We'll record the webinar and make it freely available with the accompanying screen shots and online demo's.

I'm also going to start doing free regular webinars on blogging. Blogs and other forms of social networking are of great interest to law firms. LexBlog is getting a ton of inquiries and I am getting loads of questions. There's also a lot of wrong information out there. If I can help leading lawyers and legal marketing professionals around the country through free educational webinars, it'll be a privilege.

Law firm marketing webinar : Blogs and user-generated to attract clients

Next Wednesday, October 24, I'll be appearing on a webinar panel with Carolyn Elefant and Mark Britton. It's being hosted by ALM's National Law Journal. Join us without leaving your chair in front of your computer.

The details:

Getting found on the Web: How lawyers can leverage user-generated content and other new Internet tools to attract clients.

Wednesday, October 24.

12 - 2pm Eastern Time.

Click here for registration, use promo code 2213032 when ordering to receive discount.

Carolyn who publishes her own blog, My Shingle and is co-publisher of Legal Blog Watch at ALM, regularly writes and speaks on law firm marketing and management for solos and small law firms. Her passion is an inspiration for all of us.

Mark is co-founder of Avvo, a new online lawyer directory that rates and profiles every attorney, so as to help people choose the right lawyer. Though Avvo's drawn resistance by some lawyers, I see a place for consumer driven lawyer ratings. I've also found Mark, a former practicing lawyer and Expedia exec, most sincere in his drive to bring a valuable resource to the public.
