"PowerPoint is Evil" webinar recording now available

Thanks to Faith Pincus of Pincus Professional Education for another informative and engaging webinar: "PowerPoint is Evil. But if you're going to use it, use it well."

When done right, PowerPoint can enhance your public speaking. However, most professionals use slides as their presentation instead of a visual supplement to it. In this webinar, Faith focused on the Do's and Don'ts of PowerPoint, from standing in the wrong place when speaking to refining your speech before ever starting to create your presentation.

Because effective PowerPoint presentations should have visual impact, Faith has provides a handout that includes a few helpful resources for images and graphics (PDF).

If you missed it or want to watch again, you can play "PowerPoint is Evil. But if you're going to use it, use it well" below or view it on the LexBlog Support YouTube channel.

You've probably sat through mind-numbing PowerPoint presentations -- slide after slide of text and bullet points. Maybe you're guilty of creating them yourself.

"PowerPoint is evil" will teach you:

Why and why not to use PowerPoint.

How to use it as an integral part of your presentation (instead of as your presentation itself).

Logistical arrangements that effect your presence and your presentation.

Texas Bar Association Leadership PowerPoint

Thanks again for having me present Friday afternoon to the 19 lawyers selected for their potential for leadership at the LeadershipSBOT. It was truly an honor.

My presentation was on online thought leadership and reputation management, primarily covering blogs, LinkedIn, and Twitter.

As promised for attendees, here's my PowerPoint for viewing.

**Note that there are a few visual bugs when I use my PowerPoint slides on SlideShare.

You can also view the PowerPoint at SlideShare and download it from my SlideShare page. More of my past presentations to follow there.

As always, my PowerPoints are open game. You can steal as much or little as you like from any of them. Just give a little attribution - even if it's just 'I got some of this stuff from a lawyer guy in Seattle who's a Cubs' fan and runs a blog company.' And do offer me feedback as to what I can do better.
