Best in Law Blogs : The LexBlog Network : March 9, 2011

Do you live in California? Would you like a will done for you at absolutely no cost? Well, the LexBlog Network authors at Albertson & Davidson are willing to do just that for the first few people who contact them; not a bad idea. Other highlights today include a great roundup of global green building codes and examining the idea of friending judges on Facebook. Total posts on The LexBlog Network today: 152.

The free will gimmick is one of the stupidest marketing ploys I’ve seen in a while.
Not only does it devalue the important of a lawyer’s skill in drafting a very important instrument, but it attracts the bottom feeder type of client.
I would rather pay a lawyer his regular fee than have him do a crappy job for free.
    Stupid!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for this, really useful. We recently did some research to lawyers and they all came back saying they didn’t use Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin however when we ignored our research and started using these channels in our marketing, it did really well! :-)
