When attending a conference, it's every bit as important (if not more-so) to network as it is to learn. Duh. But when it comes to networking, it often revolves around checking out glossy name tags clipped to sponsored laniards, seeing who the attached individual works for, then just winging it from there. Probably not the most effective method. Today, Elizabeth Ferris has some insight and eight simple steps for more effective networking.
