<description><![CDATA[<p>Wow. It really is happening, isn't it? Journalists need to step it up and understand their value to the world forum that is Web 2.0. Do we become consultants to the citizen journalists re: ethics, etiquette and impact of viral communication? Do we all go freelance for the online publishers? Do we become publishers like yourself? </p>

<p>I hope we don't become vigilante journalists just because the tools make it easier to catch people saying dumb things. We still have to think before we click "publish."</p>

<p>As all of our familiar structures/institutions are forced to reinvent themselves or implode, professionals must do the same. Let's use our big brains and support responsible communication in whatever form.</p>]]></description>
