Solo and small firm lawyer blogs : Please share your success stories for conference
I'm doing the keynote presentation for the Wisconsin Solo and Small Firm Conference this Thursday. The topic is blogs and how they serve as the great equalizer for solo and small law firms when it comes to legal marketing.
I'd love to share some first hand experiences of lawyers from across the country who've had marketing success through blogging.
Share your story in a comment here or drop me an email. Tell Wisconsin lawyers what they're missing when it comes to blogs. I'll publish the examples in a separate post.
As always, thanks for all you guys do to help me out. It's appreciated.

Kevin,
You already know my story, but never against sharing it. We cannot even update our big-time interviews on our blog fast enough. Go to the "in the news" section on our website. I attribute 90% of those to the blog and all that publicity leads to a very steady stream of good work, and exactly in the areas of law we want.
Kevin,
Our blog has been an answer to PR prayers. Because of my blog I was intereviewed by a national online IP Newswire. The other attorneys intereviewed in this article were from large firms in the US and UK.
The biggest benefit so far has been the other attorneys I have gotten to know in my practice areas. I now have trusted referral sources from the East Coast to West Coast that I would have never met otherwise. They send me business, too.
My blog has been very helpful to marketing my solo law practice, which concentrates on a niche ara of law. After just 6 months, the blog generates more new clients each month than the yellow pages.
I will give you the details in an email, and thank you for being such a valuable resource for those of us with professional marketing blogs.
I am a BC personal injury lawyer with a Plaintiff only practice. Blogging has been by far the best on-line marketing activity that I have engaged in.
I started my blog just over 6 months ago. I have posted case summarizes along with general comments regarding British Columbia tort claims.
Since I started doing this I have easily tripled the traffic to my website. It has been a great source of new clients. Even other BC trial lawyers have contacted me for advice regarding some of the topics I have blogged about.
Blogging is one of the easiest ways to show your knowledge of the law. If you put some effort into this your target audience will find you. Don't boast about your expertise in a traditional website, this is transparently self-serving. Instead show your potential clients that you know what you're talking about.
