Rick,

Here is what the government needs to do to with the $700B.

Lend the money to the banks that did not do the sub-prime loans. There are plenty of them.

Let the bancks fall that were stupid and careless to make these sub-prime loans. Why should we reward them with taxpayer money.

"Just imagine if we told someone 10 years ago lawyers would need about things like Google, blogs, and Twitter.."

And the key point of that is this: There are always some new means of conversing with clients of colleagues. Four years ago 'Blawgs' were the new thing, then Facebook, then Twitter.

We are (OK, in the UK, can't speak for US) mocked for being a conservative backward looking profession. By staying atop of effective new communication methods, whatever the flavor de jour is, we can network more effectively with colleagues and the public, serve client needs and so serve our our own interests.

Twitter is not the final thing.

Question: Upon installation Tweetdeck tells me it comes from an unknown source and permits unrestricted access to my files and asks me to accept this.

How do you address this as I'm not techie but this doesn't sound right. Any ideas?
