Texas Bar leadership program : In Austin Friday to teach online thought leadership and reputation management

Texas Bar online thought leadershipI’m truly honored to be able to present this Friday in Austin as part of a Texas Bar program designed to develop those selected for leadership positions in the legal community and the State Bar of Texas. I’m presenting on the subject of online thought leadership and reputation to the 19 lawyers selected for their potential for leadership.

Lawyers interested in the program submitted their applications and statements of interest in the State Bar, and a select committee picked the participants. The lawyers are in a variety of work situations, ranging from solo practitioners to attorneys in large or small firms, legal aid providers and some in government work.

Participants will examine what is expected of leaders and receive guidance and advice from current leaders on appropriate activities in which to be engaged in to be effective in the profession and respected in the community.

While down in Austin, Todd Smith and I are trying to pull together law bloggers meet-up (need not be a blogger) downtown Austin Thursday evening about 8. It’s a little late, but my flight doesn’t get in until 7:30. Drop me an email or call my cell, 206 321 3627. I’ll also get the details posted here and on my Twitter feed.
