Aloha,

You summarized my article very well. Very good point in re: to all the restrictions on attorneys to get the word out about what services they offer without advertising!

I used to feel so frustrated years ago when coaching law firms who would talk about all the ways their hands were tied. And then... one day... BLOGS were invented! And it transformed the way word of mouth spread.

And now - with the invention of Twitter.com - it's another brand new world and land of opportunities for anyone who was ever held back from getting the word out about their business.

See you on Twitter!

With Twitter, Facebook, Blogs and basically every other form of social media lawyers are free to go back to word of mouth advertising. Any lawyer not taking advantage of it is doing a disservice to themselves.

The general population uses social media on a regular basis and whether a lawyer uses to their advantage is up to them. However, their clients are using it. So they can either take advantage and use it or be stuck in the dark ages and watch their clients whiz on by to the lawyer next door who does use it.

Especially with iPhones that will auto dial and give directions too.
