<description><![CDATA[<p>RE: Expect more lawyers to become bloggers for major publications and news websites. Lawyers are killer reporters and commentators on niche legal subjects.</p>

<p>Certainly, appearing in a widely read publication can do much to help a lawyer develop his reputation and attract new clients. Then again, it can do quite a bit of damage if the lawyer isn't a skilled writer (and lawyers many certainly are not).</p>

<p>Consider the following intro to an article written by a killer reporter and commentator:</p>

<p>"As you may have already heard or read, a Durable Power of Attorney (DPA) is a very important and beneficial document to have available, not only as you age, but at other times as well."</p>

<p>That sort of writing is sure to drive potential clients away, rather than draw them near. In any event, it's good for a laugh.</p>
