That was a pretty lame response on the niche blog question. The niche blogs that were included deal with intellectual property, electronic discovery and other business issues. The fact is, an entire segment of the law, personal injury, was omitted.

There is really no way to sugarcoat the answer. The ABA interests are not really those of the personal injury bar, despite its purported mission "to be the national representative of the legal profession, serving the public and the profession by promoting justice, professional excellence and respect for the law."

At this point, the only reason I am still an ABA member is for the insurance program. So it is clearly time to re-think why I continue to pay it any dues.

Michael, there are cases where publications should use a service like that, but you have to give Ed a lot of credit for getting the ABA Journal site to where it is.

And as critical as I've been about its top 100 law blogs, the Journal was the first legal publication to open to doors to legal blogs like this. ALM has the National Law Journal, but only has a couple handfuls of selected blogs in its list - and those blogs are only on law.com's list if they run ALM ads.

Mr. Adams,

What happened to my wild card submission?

Never in my life, has someone hurt me so deeply in the feelings as when the ABA left me out of the 100 list. How can you sleep at night?

Please re-consider adding me to the 100 list as either 101 or 100(a). Also, please disregard the requests of everyone else who asked to be added as a wildcard in the comments of that page. I am far too pretty to be ignored.
