We have also been seeing this quick indexing on the general Google SERPs.

It's almost like having an instant press release jump right to the first page of Google. This really argues for thoughtful headlines and thoughtful posts, doesn't it?

Not just for Google though. Power users of your blog content, bloggers and the media, and often more important than your prospective clients, need clear titles for the RSS feeds in their newsreaders.
