Kevin -

I signed up for LawLink and found it boring:

It gave me no reason to come back, other than my curiosity. Here was my follow-up:

Doug, I've done that with a lot of new websites and communities. Checked them out by registering and if not enough to blow me away with their value over a short period I never returned.

If someone has 1,500 registered users, got to believe half our lurkers and not regular users.

How VC's value things is not always a good guide, but they value communities on the number of unique return visitors a month.

BTW, it never ceases to amaze me that companies and their heads when second guessed on widely read sites reaching their target audience never respond. Makes me wonder if they really know what is going on on the net.
