Google accidently deletes their own Blogger blog

Makes you wonder why so many professionals run their blogs on Blogger, a free service from Google, when Google employees accidently deleted their own Google blog. The blog address was then even temporarily claimed by another user.

May sound crazy but I talk to some of the larger law firms in the country whose partners ask why they cannot just use a free Blogger blog. Why not practice without an office? Because it's nuts.

Perhaps you reached down and pulled this out of your * to try and promote something else. No such thing happened

You get what you pay for with a free blogging service. If you have a practice blog that provides information to the public and information about you and your firm, you don't want to run the risk of having it go down. I experienced downtime with my previous blogging platform and there was an impact. You may be surprised to know that I actually had a few emails when this happened asking if my blog was closed.
Blogging as a marketing tool for your firm works. And it is very cost effective, even if you take the time to have a professional firm like Lexblog design and host your blog. And yes, for NONE's information, I have a Lexblog blog.

Well, accidents happen. Unless I'm mistaken, this blog was down for almost a full day a couple of weeks ago.
