Blog resources for newcomers and experienced bloggers

Brian Oberkirch at Weblogs Work provides an excellent list of blog resources to guide newcomers and experienced bloggers. Comes from a presentation he did.

Among other things, he covers:

  • Blogging buzz and confusion
  • Attention scarcity
  • Tools
  • Good blogs
  • Bad blogs
  • Essential books to read
  • Useful marketing blogs

Here's PDF of Brian's slides from the presentation.

There is no book or web site that's going to tell you how to start bloging. It's a learn as you go process. Brian's list can help you along the way.

Kevin: thanks for the shoutout. We're big fans of lexblog. I think you're right about learning the 'right' way to blog by doing it. Businesses have different needs and will get different benefits. That's one thing that's so exciting to me about social media. Unpredictable, in a really good way.
