Real Lawyers Have Blogs On the topic of the law, firm marketing, social media, & baseball

Blogs not making money from ads

BlogOf course there are exceptions where a site is drawing huge traffic, but per study from Qumana 69% of bloggers are making less than $20 a month from their blog.

Comes as no surprise to me. As you know I think you're out of your mind to post ads on a professional marketing blog. Your enhancing your reputation as a thought leader – a reliable and trusted source for information in your area of expertise – not a sandwich board.

But we lawyers have a history of doing what the can to retain the awful reputation we have.

What a ridiculous survery. 69% of…25 people? And, the low number of participants is not the only problem plaguing the survey. For the thousands of low content, low traffic blogs earning less than $20 a month, there's also Weblogs, Inc. which generates $3000 a day.
