Yahoo 360 now open to the public

The Blog Herald reports this morning that Yahoo 360 is now open to the public. Yahoo 360, a social networking tool in part incorporating blog technology was previously in beta form and required an invite. You can try it out by signing up here.

I have not tried it out yet so can not speak to it's value for legal marketing. However, from what I have heard from others and know of Yahoo's business goals, I think you'll find Yahoo 360 more of a social, as opposed to business oriented, tool.

certainly more a livejournal / msn spaces deal than anthing else. It is interesting that they are opening it up without making any improvements to it. I am using as a diary blog, but it has no use at all beyond that.

Thanks for the comment Scott, good to hear from a Yahoo 360 user.
Yahoo is trying a lot in the RSS/aggegation area and may be seeing how many people they can attract to such a community. They probably do not want to loose people anywhere else. It's long been rumored that Yahoo would acquire Six Apart to get their the TypePad blogs and social community.
From seeing Yahoo's VP talk at Gnomedex yesterday, they believe RSS is already a big deal and is only going to grow much bigger.
